The data connector is on the left and sits in a little clip. It has a rubber shroud so may not be too obvious. Bottom right under the left cover. Good luck.

You need more that a "lead" type cable. You need an embedded URAT to do some protocol conversion and even that is useless without this.
TuneECU Link That has the software and will point you to the correct cable. $10 on ebay.

Cheers - I know I need the TuneECU, it was just the cable i'm stuck for. Mrs1600 has a mass of cables for cars but not one that connects the Bird to a 'puter.
Cheers for the link Dizz
PS - They fitted the faster black 'port' to my Bird.

It's actually red, but the photo makes it look lighter. Black is the fastest, huh?

It was ofiicially established during the summer of 2009 that black is the fastest. Some haven't been able to accept that, but then some still think the earth is the center of the universe

How can the earth be the centre of the universe when it's flat? You know nothing! So I think you were just lucky when you came to the conclusion that black is the fastest colour, though it obviously is otherwise I would have bought a different colour.
Cos I came to it by a much more scientific method.
Black is not a colour, it is the absence of light, therefore it must be faster as there is no light to cause resistance and slow it down. Technically it is the fastest NOT COLOUR but in the vernacular it is seen as a colour so it can be forgiven that it is described as the fastest colour. The small amount of resistance caused by the sparkly bits in the paint is a conscious effort by Triumph to slow it down enough so it doesn't go so much faster than other colours, otherwise they would be stuck with them in the factory and showrooms of the world and that couldn't be good for business. Go Black

Well, all these arguments have been waged ad nauseam on that other site and through a completely scientific method, black was deemed the fastest.
Mat, Hinckley is on earth so it can't be the center of the Universe, but it can be galactic headquarters where the various heads of state (Tbird riders) meet to drink scotch

Well, I was going to propose we pick a meeting place that was equidistant for all T-Birder, but that might have us meeting out in the middle of the ocean... be a bit of wet going?
